This adorable little brooch is a 1970s iteration of the giardinetti, or "little garden," jewels that gained popularity in the Georgian era. A wee sterling silver basket is filled with marquise-shaped rhinestone "flowers," accented by pearls and glittering marcasites. The piece has both a pin and bale, so it may be worn as a pendant or a brooch. Petite and very pretty, with fresh Springtime vibes. Circa 1970.
